KATHMANDU, March 14: The third edition of ‘Goût de France /Good France’ was introduced by the French Embassy on March 13.

Goût de France is an international initiative of French chef, Alain Ducasse and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development which started in 2015. The event unites chefs from all over the world on the evening of March 21 with a common objective to celebrate french gastronomy with the local products and talent.

More than 2,000 restaurants worldwide are participating in this event and the French Ambassador in Nepal will host his own Goût de France dinner at the Residence.  This year the focus will be on culinary training schools and hotel management schools.  Thus, schools and apprentices worldwide will participate in the event to create ‘French-style’ dinners.

During the press meet, French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona said, “The quality of French cuisine relies in its capacity for innovation, and in its values : sharing, enjoying, and respecting the principles of high-quality, environmentally responsible cuisine.’’

Five restaurants and schools will participate in this prestigious event from Nepal.
