Celebrating French cuisine in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, March 24: Hotel Yak & Yeti organized project Goût de France (Good France) at The Chimney Fine Dining Restaurant led by top French chef Alain Ducasse among other international chefs to honor the French culinary on March 21.The hotel participated in this event for the third consecutive year.

KATHMANDU, March 24: Hotel Yak & Yeti organized project Goût de France (Good France) at The Chimney Fine Dining Restaurant led by top French chef Alain Ducasse among other international chefs to honor the French culinary on March 21.The hotel participated in this event for the third consecutive year.


Goût de France is an international initiative of French chef, Ducasse, and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development. It was started in 2015.

During the event, five-course menus specially prepared by executive chef Krishna Kaji Basnet accompanied by fine selection of wines were served to the guests. A violinist playing French numbers added to the soothing ambience.


“This event celebrates the contribution of French cuisine and will make people aware of French culinary,” said Anu Parajuli, assistant manager at Hotel & Yeti.


More than 2,000 chefs across five continents had gathered to honor French cuisine on the same day.
