Gear up for Goût de France food gala

KATHMANDU, Mar 7: The French Embassy in Kathmandu organized a press conference on Monday at the Embassy'spremises in Lazimpat to introduce the fourth edition of ‘Goût de France/Good France.’ 


Goût de France/Good France is a unique global event held in over 150 countries across five continents, and it unites French embassies abroad and chefs from around the world. The event is set to be hosted in Nepal on the evening of March 21. With one common objective of celebrating French gastronomy with local twists and talents, the fourth edition expects to witness about 3,000 participating restaurants worldwide.

During the press conference organized at the French Embassy, French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona said, “Although the origin of the event is French, it holds a dear significance to Nepal since almost all restaurants or schools are run by Nepalis. It perfectly exemplifies the spirit of openness toward French gastronomy among Nepali population and is a testament of Nepali talent.” 


This year, various restaurants from eight different hotels and hotel management schools, including The Old House Pvt Ltd, Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE), Hyatt Regency, Hotel Yak & Yeti, Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management, Radisson Hotel and Pauline's Garden will participate in the event from Nepal.
