GORKHA, Sept 6: Gorkha has reported a coronavirus-related death on Sunday.
The swab samples of a 75-year-old woman, who died while undergoing treatment at Gorkha Hospital on Saturday, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
Her throat swab sample was collected and sent for COVID-19 testing on Friday, according to Krishna Dhakal, the information officer at Gorkha Hospital. She was also suffering from a chronic disease.
Doctors and other staffs working at the emergency ward of the hospital have isolated themselves after the death of the woman.
The hospital administration has made preparations for disposing of the dead body.
