KATHMANDU, May 20: Gorkha Brewery has installed 22 solar street-lights and three CCTV cameras at Soti Khola of Dharan.
Issuing a statement on Friday, the brewery said this was the second phase of the project carried out under the sustainability priority area of Carlsberg Group’s energy and carbon commitment.
The company installed 21 solar street lamps in Hattisar, Kathmandu in the first phase. “As part of the Carlsberg Group’s purpose to brew for a better today and tomorrow, Gorkha Brewery is embedding its sustainable priorities in its local strategy as part of its aim to strengthen a winning culture,” it said.
Speaking while installing the lights, Kajiman Subba, the ales director of Gorkha Brewery said the project would help strengthen and align his company’s sustainability efforts with the purpose of contributing to a better society.
