KATHMANDU, Aug 11: On Saturday night, Krishna Bahadur Bohora went to the rented room of Kalpana Mudbhari Poudel. They had known each other for the last four years through Facebook. In the last few years, Bohora used to visit Poudel at her rented room time and again.

But in the wee hours Sunday, Poudel brutally murdered Bohora, and chopped off his legs and head. She put his torso and legs in a suitcase and threw on a roadside. Bohora's head was found some 300 meters away from the place where the suitcase was recovered. The suitcase was found at Gongabu of Tokha Municipality-10.

As usual, Bohora went to Poudel's rented room at Gongabu. Bohora ate beaten rice, curd, and meat at her place. He also drank some vodka at her place. Police investigation has found that Poudel had mixed five tablets of Triad 10 mg, a sleeping tablet, in the curd. After Bohora became unconscious, Poudel crushed his testicles with the help of a hammer. Then she strangled him to death with the help of a shawl.

After Bohora died, Poudel chopped off his head and legs with the help of a sharp weapon. She then put his torso and legs inside a suitcase. Likewise, she kept his head in a plastic bag. In the wee hours Sunday, she threw the suitcase and his head on a roadside.

During the investigation, Poudel told that she killed Bohora due to financial reasons and sexual harassment. Bohora, 46, a permanent resident of Runtigadhi Rural Municipality-7 in Rolpa district, had been staying at a guest house in Gongabu for the last eight months.

Lately, Bohora had created a fake facebook handle of Poudel. Bohora had threatened Poudel to share obscene pictures from her fake Facebook account. She was asked to follow his instructions. "I killed Bohora as he had threatened me to share obscene pictures from my fake Facebook handle," Poudel told the police.

She had managed to dispose of the dead body with the help from her 15-year-old daughter.

After throwing the torso and head on the roadside, Poudel planned to flee Kathmandu. On Sunday evening, she left for Chitwan in an ambulance, which had dropped a patient to Kathmandu.

Monday evening, a special police team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Poudel and her daughter from Tandi in Chitwan.

Police have confiscated a sharp weapon, a hammer, blood-stained gloves, the shawl used to strangle the victim, a suitcase handle, a smartphone, clothes and bag of victim, among other things, from the rented room of Poudel in Gongabu.

The arrestee, 37, is a permanent resident of Kalika Municipality-10 in Chitwan district. She was arrested from her maternal home, according to police.
