Organized by Glocal Khabar in strategic alliance with Ministry of Youth and Sports, Glocal Teen Hero 2015 is a platform designed for teenagers (aged between 13 and 19) to showcase their achievements, initiations and innovation outside their school/college curriculum. Six extraordinary teenagers will be selected as finalists from where one will be entitled the 'Glocal Teen Hero 2015.'
Selection will be based upon the candidate's resume, application, authenticity/evidence of their achievements and an essay about their accomplishments followed by an interview from the panel of judges. The board of judges includes Anil Keshari Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Mega Bank; Gagan Thapa, Member of the Constituent Assembly and Saurabh Jyoti, Director of Jyoti Group, among others.
The program is initiated with the purpose of motivating teenagers to develop an entrepreneurial thinking for the betterment of the nation. Alina Prajapati, 20, Editor of Glocal Khabar quotes, "We aren't categorizing entrepreneurship as just businessperson-ship. By entrepreneurial thinking, we mean to encourage the determination of people to implement their ideas into action. The purpose of this program is to encourage initiations. It's about turning ideas into actions."
The event will be conducted on August 1 at Hotel de l' Annapurna in Durbar Marg.
