KHOTANG, Dec 3: Nepal Tarun Dal (NTD), Khotang, the youth wing of the Nepali Congress, has drawn Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s attention toward the government's failure to bring the culprit involved in the murder and rape of Nirmala Panta to book even after four months.
Lashing out at the government for its ineptness to arrest the culprit and take strong legal action against him/ her, the youth wing sent a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Chief District Officer of Khotang District Surendra Raj Paudel, said NTD President Bhishan Rai.
Talking to journalists after submitting the letter of memorandum, President Rai warned of stringent protests ahead if the criminal were not brought to book at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Rai demanded with the government to make the country corruption free, withdraw the decision to procure vehicles worth Rs 180 million for the president and take action against those involved in the irregularities in the purchase of the wide-body aircraft.
