Every year more than 1,400 children are born with disabilities due to congenital rubella syndrome.

The campaign will be conducted in 15 districts in the first phase, where children of nine districts of far-western region and six districts of mid-western region will be administered the vaccine. Children under five years will also get polio drops during the campaign.
