Though the court had sought a bail amount of Rs 29 million from Manange earlier but failed to deposit the bail bond.[break]
According to Nati Babu Lamichhane, Registrar at Special Court, Manange deposited some 12 Ropani and 15 Ana land of Sundarijal belonging to his relatives.
He was sent to Sadar Khor Dillibazar as he failed to submit the bail amount.
A three-member bench of the Special Court Chairman Kedar Prasad Chalise and members Bhupendra Prasad Rai and Mohan Raman Bhattarai had issued the order on August 20 after hearings on whether or not to send Manange to judicial custody.
The Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DoMLI) on May 19 had filed cases against Manange and four other notorious gangsters at the Special Court for amassing properties through illegal sources. Manange was accused of amassing Rs 147.3 million.
