A day after filing candidacy under the first-past-the-post electoral system, Lama released on bail.
The Special Court sent gangster Ganesh Lama to Dilli Bazar Sadarkhor Jail, as he failed to submit a bail amount of Rs 30 million some two months ago. He was accused of illegally amassing Rs 270 million through extortion, illegal contracts and banking transactions, among other illegal activities.
