KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Gangster Satya Man Lama, who was arrested in the check bounce case on November 18, has been sent to Dillibazar Jail.
The Kathmandu Valley Police Office said that Lama was arrested by a team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police. Following that, he was brought to the court to execute the judgment. According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Lama has been sent to Dillibazar Jail following the court’s order.
Gangster Satya Man Lama arrested on fraud case
The Kathmandu District Court had issued the verdict on April 9, 2024, sentencing Lama to two years in prison along with a fine of Rs 3 million and an order to pay Rs 3 million in restitution.
Lama has been repeatedly arrested for fraud. The Kathmandu Valley Crime Division had arrested him on charges of defrauding Rs 17.5 million by falsely claiming he would build a hospital for earthquake victims in Temal, Kavre.
