Rajendra Rai, 25, and Istiyaz Miya, a rikshaw driver have been injured in the firing. Rai has sustained a bullet injury to his right thigh. [break]
The injured have been taken to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for treatment.
The culprits fled before the police could reach the incident site. The motive for the firing is not immediately known.
Police have launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprits.
