Around eight armed persons broke into the home of Sanu Adhikari and Buddhi Shrestha at Panchanagar-8 at 2 a.m. and robbed them off 22 tolas of gold and Rs 50,000 in cash, said a local, Kuldip Acharya.
The dacoits locked up all family members inside a room before they fled with the cash and gold. Buddhi was injured when he tried to retaliated against the bandits.
