Haye (64) operated a child home in Kathmandu and he was arrested and detained by Hanumandhoka Police Office after children in the center accused him of sexual abuse.
Reminding that French Ambassador to Nepal has already held talks with Nepalese officials in this regard, French Prime Minister Fillon stated that Nepal and France could make collaborative efforts for the protection of children.
Police had arrested Haye from Attarkhel, Kathmandu in March.
There is an Interpol Red Corner Notice against Haye and French Police had also requested Nepal Police to arrest him. He was arrested acting on a tip-off provided by Voice of Children, an NGO working for children. The French police have charged Haye with sexual abuse of children.
Haye was said to have been hiding in Nepal for the last five years before his arrest.
