Four Nepalis, three Indians held with 30 kg brown sugar

HETAUDA, July 23: Armed Police Force has nabbed seven people from a hotel in Hetauda for illegally possessing 30 kg of brown sugar.

HETAUDA, July 23: Armed Police Force has nabbed seven people from a hotel in Hetauda for illegally possessing 30 kg of brown sugar.



A team of Armed Police Force (APF) arrested three Indian nationals and four Nepalis along with the brown sugar during a raid. Bikram Syangtan and Hira Syangtan of Thaha Municipality 7, Makwanpur; Suraj Patel of Balara Rural Municipality-4, Rautahat; and Kalma Khatun of Farahadwa Rural Municipality-8, Rajpur are the four Nepali men arrested in the raid. Likewise, Indina nationals Nirvaya Singh of Lucknow, Kalawati Devi Sah of Ramgadwa and Mukesh Kumar Shraff of Raxaul have also been booked.



APF informed that the smugglers had brought the drug from Dhading and were heading toward India when they got caught. According to District Police Office, Makwanpur further investigation is underway.



Acting on a tip off, the APF team led by DSP Tribhuvan Bista had reached the hotel. They have also seized a Maruti car with registration number UP 18 Ae 7405 used by the smugglers.
