BANIYANI, Sept 24: Police have arrested three people including one Indian national from two separate places in Jhapa in possession of brown sugar. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Rakesh Thapa, two people from Arjundhara were arrested Thursday night and one Indian national from Mechinagar in the afternoon along with brown sugar.
Four arrested with brown sugar
Thapa said that police team deployed from the temporary police post bus park arrested Roshan Subedi, 27, and Suman Karki, 28, of Panchthar Fidim from a hotel at Arjundhara Municipality-11 Bus Park along with six grams and 700 milligrams of brown sugar.
Similarly, a police team deployed by the Narcotic Control Bureau, Kakadvitta, arrested Ratan Singh, 24, of Darjeeling, India, along with five grams of brown sugar from Turkenikhel Maidan in Mechinagar Municipality-6 on Thursday afternoon. Police said that they are conducting further investigation into the incident.
