TULSIPUR, Oct 14: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, has said that the construction works of Ghorahi-Tulsipur four- lane road will begin soon.
Addressing a program organized by the CPN (Maoist Centre) at Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-16 in Dang district to exchange greetings of upcoming festivals such as Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals on Saturday, Minister Sharma said that the construction work will begin soon.

Sharma informed that a tender notice would be issued for the project immediately after Tihar.
The existing Ghorahi-Tulsipur road will be upgraded into four lanes for which, according to the Minister, feasibility study and other surveys has already been carried out. Furthermore, she said that discussions on the same with the relevant minister and agencies are currently underway.
Currently, the road is undergoing maintenance. Earlier, the upgradation of the dilapidated road is stalled for five years, causing traffic problems as well as road mishaps.
Minister Sharma also said that Rs 300 million was allocated to construct a building for the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences for conducting MBBS program.
