Former NAC Chief Chaturvedi commits suicide

KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Former chairperson of Nepal Airlines Corporation Ramagya Chaturvedi has been found dead.

Chaturvedi died on Thursday morning after jumping from a house under construction at Chabahil in Kathmandu, police said. Chaturvedi, 74, reportedly jumped off the house at around 7 in the morning.

He had been living at Bulbule in Chabahil, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7. His body has been kept at T.U. Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for a postmortem. But it is still unknown as to why he jumped off the building.

He was jailed for one and a half years in 2011 for corruption.
