KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Former King of Mustang district Jigme Dorje Palbar Bista has passed away while undergoing treatment at Om Hospital in the capital on Friday morning.
Palbar Bista was admitted at the hospital on last Tuesday after he complained of respiratory problem.
He had been suffering from multiple ailments including asthma and blood pressure since long.
Born at Lomanthang in Upper Mustang, Palbar Bista was the third son of late Mustang king Angun Tenjing Trandul.
In 1959, the then king of Nepal had recognized Parbal Bista as the successor to Tenjing Trandul.
He had ascended to the throne after his father died in 1964.
He had been stripped of his title following the abolishment of monarchy from Nepal in 2008.
