The former king who celebrated his 70th birthday on July 7 had visited Norvic Hospital after his family doctors Dr Kishor Jung Rana and Dr Yadav Bhatta suggested him for follow-up treatment.  He had undergone similar angioplasty after complication in his heart even in the past.

Sources close to Shah's family said he will spend a few days in the hospital for rest as per the suggestion of doctors involved in his treatment.

The ex-king is undergoing thorough treatment at a local hospital, while republican leaders have been flying abroad for general treatment spending money from the state coffers.
