Former finance secy Khanal joins NC

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Former Finance Secretary Rameswor Khanal has joined Nepali Congress (NC) amidst a function held at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Monday.



NC President Sushil Koirala welcomed Khanal in the party, giving him general membership. Khanal earlier had announced to be a candidate in the forthcoming Constituent Assembly election under the first-past-the post electoral system.



After resignation from the post of Finance Secretary, Khanal also served briefly as an economic advisor to then Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai.
