KATHMANDU, March 21: Foreign Minister Arzu Deuba Rana has returned to Nepal after completing her visit to India. She had traveled to India on March 10 for a regular health check-up, a pilgrimage visit, and to participate in the Raisina Dialogue.
During her visit to India, Rana had separate meetings with Indian counterpart Dr S. Jaishankar, the Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova, and ministers from Georgia, Ukraine, and the Philippines.

In her meeting with Jaishankar, Minister Rana shared that the progress of bilateral mechanisms between Nepal and India was reviewed. She urged for an increase in the supply of electricity to Nepal.
During the meetings, Minister Rana also discussed the release of Bipin Joshi, who had been taken hostage by Hamas, and talked about the MCC. She mentioned that during her meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart, she had urged for the release and repatriation of seven Nepali citizens who were held captive in Ukraine.
