KATHMANDU, Dec 13: UAE-based flydubai has designated Universal Tours and Travels (P) Ltd as its local partner. Issuing a press statement, Universal said the airline will start Nepal flights on December 15. Kathmandu is the 11th destination of the low cost carrier. "The airline will fly to Kathmandu four times a week and the airline is offering round trip ticket at Rs 12,184, inclusive of all taxes, to mark the beginning of its Nepal flights" the statement added. Universal will also facilitate the visa process for the travelers. "Travelers using flydubai can avail themselves to onward destinations from Dubai to Amman, Alexandria, Aleppo, Beirut, Baku, Bahrain, Damascus, Doha, Djibouti, and Khartoum on the same carrier," the statement adds.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Nepal Life Insurance Company Ltd (NCIL) has opened its 19th branch in Battar of Nuwakot district. A sales counter at Battar was promoted upgraded as the branch in a bid to extend insurance service to locals of Nuwakot and surrounding areas. Manoj Kumar Gajurel, chief executive officer of the company, inaugurated the branch on Saturday. The company has issued 270,000 insurance policies and invested around Rs 4.5 billion in different sectors so far, states a press release issued by the company.
