Despite some reports of a loud noise heard by locals in Kathmandu and Lalitpur, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) confirmed that the flight was proceeding to its destination as planned and described the operation as normal.

The TIA had briefly put several flights on hold while the FlyDubai aircraft made a detour over Dhading, Kavre and Bara.

The pilot of the aircraft flew to the destination and made a safe and normal landing in Dubai after a general discussion with the relevant experts. The plane has carried 167 passengers, the TIA said.
