FLSC withdraws banda in nine eastern districts

KATHMANDU, March 23: Federal Limbuwan State Council (FLSC) has withdrawn the banda (general strike) in nine districts in the eastern part of the country ahead of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations.



The FLSC had earlier called a banda in the districts against the killing of its cadre in police firing in Dhulabari of Jhapa during the Free Student Union elections on March 19.



Life crippled due to the strike in the districts has returned to normal.



The SLC examinations are scheduled to start on March 25.
