FLSC called the banda in the nine districts of the Eastern Region demanding the release of its cadres who were arrested on the charge of anti-poll activities.[break]
The life in Mechi and Koshi zone including Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasahba, and Terathum were badly affected.
Very few vehicles are playing in the street of Mechi Highway due to the banda. Academic institutions, market areas, industries have been shut down due to the banda .
However, the local administration is upbeat on thwarting the banda called by the FLSC and urged people not to carry away by their call.
A total of 18 cadres affiliated to 33-political parties including FLSC were arrested recently for their alleged involment in the anti-poll activities.
