BARDIYA, July 1: Thirty two people were injured, two seriously, when the flood victims clashed with police in the district, on Monday.

The incident happened when police intervened after flood victims tried to picket a government office supplying relief to them. They were protesting the delay in distribution of relief materials, a participant in the protest said.

Police fired three rounds of tear gas shells to contain the crowd. Those seriously injured are Ravi Kathayer and Shantiram Chaudhary of Daulatpur-9.
