BEIJING,March 28 : A flood in a shale mine in central China has left at least five miners dead and one missing, China's official Xinhua News Agency reported Saturday.

Xinhua said the shale mine flooded Monday night, but the report didn't indicate what caused the flooding. Rescuers found one body late Friday and four others Saturday morning, Xinhua said.

Rescuers were still searching Saturday for the missing miner.
