According to DSP Kishan Singh Thapa, Area police office Katari, 10 of the injured have been sent to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital for treatment and two are undergoing treatment at Katari. [break]
Two of the deceased identified so far are Narayan Prasad Pokhrel, 72, of Bijayakharka and Balkumar Khatri of Baklila-4 of Khotang district.
The jeep(Na 1 Ja 176), heading to Ghurmi from Katari, veered off the road and fell some 500 meters down at around 9 pm last night.
