BIRGUNJ, Oct 3: Police have arrested five people, including the prime suspect, in connection with a deadly gang clash in Birgunj.

Parsa District Police confirmed that the arrests were made within 48 hours of the incident. Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudip Pathak said the operation was executed under a special strategy codenamed Operation Challenge.
The violent confrontation erupted late Tuesday night during the Gahawamai fair in Birgunj’s Adarshnagar, when two groups clashed. The fight claimed the life of a man identified as Golden.
