KATHMANDU, Feb 5: The first Global Conference on Environment and Sustainability will be held in Kathmandu in November this year, the organizer said today.
The two-day conference will be held from November 22, 2020, according to a press release. The conference will be hosted by Tribhuvan University and its Central Department of Environment and Science.

Various other Nepali and foreign institutions including Far Western University, Nepal, The Open University Nepal, and Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences along with California State University-Fresno, Colorado School of Mines, The Johns Hopkins University, Florida, Florid State University, and University of Wyoming are extending help in organizing the event.
Primarily, the conference will focus on three main theme; air pollution and climate change, solid waste management, sustainable development and environmental policies along with issues of climate change, habitat alternation, deforestation, resource conservation, soil degradation, loss of biodiversity and over population.
The organizing team also urged students, researchers, practitioners and policymakers from around the world to attend the conference with their innovative, technological and experimental research works.
