First chartered flight from India lands at PRIA

According to spokesperson of PRIA, Jashoda Subedi, the plane carrying four passengers including the crew landed at the Pokhara-based airport at 5:50 pm on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Making history as the first chartered flight to arrive from India to Pokhara in the nearly two years since the airport came into operation, a single-engine private jet of the European company Zell Air inbound from New Delhi, India, landed at the Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA) on Thursday.  


According to spokesperson of PRIA, Jashoda Subedi, the plane carrying four passengers including the crew landed at the Pokhara-based airport at 5:50 pm on Thursday. The plane will stay overnight in Pokhara and fly from Pokhara to Bangladesh on Friday.

Earlier, chartered flights had been made from China and Bhutan to the PRIA, while a jet of the US Wingtip Corporation had arrived in Pokhara for parking on November 2.


A chartered flight of China's Sichuan Airlines is scheduled to land at PRIA on December 26 to participate in the Dragon Boat Race to be held in Pokhara.
