KATHMANDU, Nov 15: A huge fire broke out in a sack warehouse in Nepalgunj. The fire broke out in the sack warehouse of SK Trading in Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-1, Dhambojhi, last night.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narayan Dangi, Spokesperson for the District Police Office, Banke, said that the fire which broke out around 12 o'clock in the night was brought under control only this morning. According to him, all the materials including sacks in the godown were burnt in the fire.

The owner of the warehouse, Suresh Kumar Shah, said that the fire caused a loss worth around Rs 4 million. According to him, 50,000 large sacks, 45,000 jute sacks, 50,000 thick sacks, some plastic sacks and wood inside the godown have been burnt.
Police spokesperson Dangi said that the fire was caused by a short circuit. Police said that the fire was brought under control with the activation of two police units, the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Police.
