KATHMANDU, Dec 23: A fire that broke out at Trichandra College, the oldest college in Nepal, has been contained.
“The fire started due to short-circuit in the generator on the premises of the administrative block of the college building," DSP Dan Bahadur Malla told Republica Online. The fire broke out at 6:35 pm.

The fire was brought under control by Armed Police Force personnel with the help of students and locals. Two fire engines were used to douse the fire, said Malla.
The property damaged by fire is yet to be ascertained. However, no casualties were reported in the fire.
