All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has selected 218 SLC graduate players from different regions of the country for the scholarship. The winners will be trained by ANFA coaches for two years until the completion of their higher secondary level education. [break]
According to ANFA, 63 players from eastern region, 56 from central, 63 from western, 16 from mid-western and 20 from far-western regions have been called for the central level selection.
A seven-member selection committee has been formed for central level selection under the coordination of ANFA Vice-president Lalit Krishna Shrestha. Coaches Bhim Thapa, Raju Kaji Shakya, Upendra Man Singh, Bal Gopal Maharjan, Kishor KC and Meghraj KC are the members of the committee.
As per the agreement between ANFA and HISSAN, SLC-passed talented football players selected from across the country will be awarded scholarships on ANFA´s recommendation. Fifteen member colleges of HISSAN in the capital will provide scholarships for more than 150 players in two different categories.
The most talented footballers classified by ANFA will be given full scholarship while the others will be given partial scholarship.
Little Angels´, VS Niketan, Galaxy, NIST, White House, Himalayan White House, Golden Gate, Xavier Int´l, Nobel Academy, Pinnacle, Trinity, Kathmandu Don Bosco, Capital College, Redhorn College and NASA are the members of HISSAN.
