Fifth Uniglobe inter-school futsal concluded

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The fifth Uniglobe Inter-school Futsal Tournament jointly hosted by Uniglobe Secondary School and College and Global College International has concluded in Kathmandu on Tuesday.


Budhhanagar’s Swapna Vatika School won the event, while Daffodil Boarding School finished as the runner-up. Basundhara’s Mount Glory International Boarding School finished in the third position.

The tournament was hosted at Uniglobe College’s futsal facility at Kamaladi. Total 24 teams participated in the event that started on September 14.


Ayush Ghalan won the best striker award whereas Satyam Khatiwada scalped the best defender accolade. Similarly, Kabir Tamang was bestowed with the best player whereas Sudip Karki was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament.


Speaking at a ceremony organized on the final day of the event, Nepal national football team’s Upendra Man Singh said that hosting such events at schools was important for the overall development of the country’s sports sector.
