KATHMANDU, July 28: Veteran singer and comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha is set to return to the Paleti stage after 18 years, this time alongside his son, singer Yaman Shrestha.
Organized by Nepalaya at its 'R-Shala’, the musical event will feature Madan Krishna's popular old songs as well as new compositions. His timeless hits, including "Arabau Manchheharuma," "Kholawari Kholapari," "Phulbutte Sari," and "Sayathari Baja," have remained popular among Nepali music lovers.

Although widely known for his comedy performances with Haribansha Acharya, Madan Krishna began his artistic journey as a singer. He has remained active in the music and film sectors despite health challenges in recent years.
Yaman Shrestha, who has followed his father's footsteps as a singer, musician, and actor, will add to the attraction of the event. Known for both satirical and serious songs, Yaman has released popular tracks such as "Yo Man Badalna Chahanna," "Jindagima Sayad Maile," and "Manchhele Kina Manchhelai Marchha."
Recalling his previous Paleti performance, Madan Krishna said he was excited to share the stage with his son, adding that he hoped the audience would enjoy their performance.
Yaman also expressed excitement, saying the rehearsals themselves had been enjoyable and the actual show would be even more entertaining.
The Paleti program will be held on July 31 and August 1 at Nepalaya's 'R-Shala’ in Kalikasthan. The event can also be watched online through a link available on the Paleti website.
