This Spring- Paleti will explore Nepali Chhanda Kavita, a special genre of lyrical and metric Nepali poem, known for its melody and elegance. Paleti will present this treasure trove with its audiences according to a press statement released by Nepa-laya.

The March edition of ‘Paleti’ is featuring Singer/Musician Aavaas which is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The event is taking place at Nepalaya, Kalikasthan.

Nepali adhunik geet has always had a devoted audience across the country, albeit a smaller one than popular music. While one can hear and see the songs and videos on radio or TV, there is an entirely different feel to it when you sit amidst other adhunik geet enthusiasts and listen to these tunes of the past, and that too when musicians trained in classical music are lending their voices to it.

Nepalaya’s micro event series, Paleti is all set to continue from Friday after an interval. The event series will start from February 22 to 24 at its regular venue, Nepalaya’s sala.

As the first theme-based show, the coming Paleti will delve into Women of Nepali Music and celebrate their contribution. The show has been titled – “Celebrating Women in Nepali Music.”
