Prahlad had called his wife in mid-February saying he would return home only in September for Dashain. [break]
His family had been waiting for him to return home for Dashain festivities. But the death of 32-year-old Prahlad, who had gone to Saudi to earn money to wed away his sisters and ensure good education to his three kids, has left the whole family devastated. Prahlad had left Nepal on May 31, 2010 and his visa was expiring this May.
Now Prahlad´s family is waiting for his body to arrive in Nepal. “We are waiting for the body to arrive,” said his father Chin Bahadur devastated after the death of his only son. “You can´t imagine how we are spending days. Someone please bring his body to Nepal,” he pleaded.
Prahlad had gone to Saudi to work as a driver for one Master Bakery in Saudi leaving his job of a driver in Birgunj.
“He had sent money for wedding of one of his sisters and was collecting money for the marriage of another,” said Chin Bahadur. He also wanted to build a new house and had also paid an advance of Rs 20,000 to a friend to buy a motorbike.
Prahlad had also promised his two sons aged 10 and three years and a six-year-old daughter a computer, toys and new clothes in Dashain.
