Family members of Gaur massacre victims demand govt to book culprits

CHANDRAPUR (RAUTAHAT), July 30: Victims have started a sit-in protest in Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district demanding the government to book the murderers of Gaur massacre that happened 17 years ago.

CHANDRAPUR (RAUTAHAT), July 30: Victims have started a sit-in protest in Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district demanding the government to book the murderers of Gaur massacre that happened 17 years ago.



The families of victims have started an indefinite sit-in program at a park in Chandranigahapur along the East-West Highway stating that the perpetrators of the killings are still not booked.

A total of 28 people were killed in the Gaur carnage that happened on March 21, 2007. They were brutally murdered in the ensuing clash between the cadres of the CPN (Maoist) and then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum.


Senior Vice Chairman of Aam Janata Party Badri Neupane said that they would continue protests until their demands are met.
