JANAKPURDHAM, April 14: The Janakpur-Jayanagar train service, which previously ran twice a day, will now run four times a day starting today. This expansion comes with the start of the new year 2080, as the Nepal Railway Company seeks to increase its services.
According to Niranjan Jha, the general manager of the company, now the train will depart from Kurtha in Janakpurdham at 7:15 AM and 2:45 PM for Jayanagar in India.
Why was the train from Janakpur to Ayodhya canceled?
He said that the train from Jayanagar will depart for Kurtha, Janakpurdham at 9:30 in the morning and at 5:00 in the evening.
The broad gauge train which was put into operation a year ago used to leave Janakpur at 10 AM and reach Jayanagar at 11:30 AM and from there it used to depart for Janakpurdham at 3 PM.
Jha also added that the two-phase inspection work has been completed for the extension of the train service to Bijalpura.
