Excessive rainfall inflicts loss to farmers

GALKOT, Oct 12: Immoderate rainfall has caused loss to the farmers here. The incessant rain has damaged harvest-ready crops in Baglung. 


According to the Agriculture Knowledge Center, Baglung, rainfall with windstorm has submerged and ruined paddy cultivated in some areas of Baglung while flooding inflicted damages to lemon and kiwi plantations.

This year, paddy plantation was done in 600 hectares of land, chief of Agriculture Knowledge Center, Bhanubhakta Bhatatrai shared. 


"We have asked the authorities concerned to collect the details of loss and damage caused by incessant rains in all local government units of Baglung. The Ministry of Agriculture has also followed up to send the details of loss the rain inflicted to farmers," he further added.
