Envoy Tamrat meets Dahal

KATHMANDU, May 5: Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said the new constitution would be promulgated within the May 27.



The delegation including Syamuel Tamrat the Special Representatives of United Nations´ General Secretary, Ban Ki Moon, met Chairman Dahal at his residence in Lazimpat, on Saturday. [break]



During the meeting, Tamrat said the five-point agreement signed by three major political parties and the United Democratic Madhesi Front has created the environment for forming the national unity government and also paved the way to forward the constitution writing process in the effective manner, said Chairman Dahal´s aide Shiva Khakurel.



Special Representatives Tamrat also appreciated Chairman of the Maoist, Dahal for his role in peace and constitution writing process. Tamrat had also expressed his confidence that Nepal would have political stability and move towards economic prosperity under Dahal´s leadership.



The Envoy informed Dahal that UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki Moon, has desired to visit Nepal to the earliest. Moon, who had the schedule to arrive Kathmandu few weeks back, postponed his visit due to his busy work schedules.
