During the meeting, matters relating to the latest political situation in Nepal including the ongoing peace process and the constitution drafting process were discussed, said Nembang after the meeting.[break]
On the occasion, Mr Tamrat urged Speaker Nembang to play an effective role in the capacity as the chief of the Legislature-Parliament so as to conclude the peace process as early as possible and thereby draft the new constitution, meeting the people´s aspirations within the slated timeframe.
In response, the Speaker said that he was making maximum efforts in his capacity to forge political consensus on the remaining tasks of the peace process and promulgate the new constitution in time.
"Of late, the political parties in Nepal are seriously working to conclude the peace and constitution drafting in time", said Speaker Nembang.
During the meeting with the Speaker, Mr Samuel put his queries on the discharge of the Maoist combatants, report of the State Restructuring Commission and on the progress on the ongoing discussions among the parties, it is learnt.
