Following the ceremony, ambassador Paudyal paid a courtesy call on President Ahmadinejad and discussed matters of mutual interests, Nepal´s embassy in Pakistan said, in a statement on Sunday. [break]
On the occasion, the Nepali envoy hailed the government and the people of Iran for successful hosting of the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran last year, the statement said.
The Iranian president underlined the importance of solidarity among the member states of NAM and called for the promotion of south-south cooperation, the statement added. Nepal´s ambassador to Pakistan is concurrently accredited to Iran.
