Environment award for Solu Post editor

KATHMANDU, June 6: Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ) has decided to confer ´Environment Journalist Award-2009’ on editor of Solukhumbu Post PT Lopchan.



The award announced coinciding with the World Environment Day carries a purse of Rs 25,000 and a letter of appreciation. NEFEJ has been annually awarding a working journalist writing in the field of environment sector for the last 23 years.



Lopchan is also a program producer at Solu FM. The 31-year-old graduate is the 23rd journalist to receive the award.



NEFEJ collects all news reports related to environment published, aired or broadcast in newspapers, radios and televisions every year and selects a winner for the award.
