KATHMANDU, Jan 10: CIST College and Cosmos College of Management are set to organize the Engineering Cup Indoor Cricket Tournament from January 14. The four-day tournament, to be played at the Element Indoor Cricket Hall in Koteshwor, will feature 16 colleges from around the capital. Each team will have to bowl 12 overs in an inning, while five runs will be deducted if a batsman is dismissed. Six players will feature for each team and each player has to bowl two overs. Likewise, each batting pair will bat four overs. The winner of the tournament will be prized with Rs 100,000, while the man-of-the-series will be awarded with ‘cricket kit bag’. Likewise, the best bowler and the best batsman will get Rs 3,500 each, informed the organizers. The entry fee for the tournament is Rs 30,000 and all the teams are provided with team jerseys, cricket equipment and logistics. The main sponsor of the tournament is Golden Gate International College, while Bastra Online Shop and Einstein Educational Center are co-sponsors.
