GALESHWOR, Feb 7: Electricity and communication services that were disrupted in Gurja village of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality in Myagdi district due to snowfall on Thursday and Friday have resumed.
Chairperson of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-1, Jhak Chhantyal, said that the electricity and communication services resumed after three days after carrying out repair and maintenance of the equipment with the help of locals.
The heavy snowfall that occured on February 3 had damaged electricity and communications related equipment. The Gurja area is still witnessing three more feet of snow, he shared.
Efforts are underway to resume the trekking route from Lulang to Gurja obstructed due to snowfall, added Chhantyal.
