DANG, Feb 12: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala today suggested organising local elections to save the country from any untoward accident.
He also warned that the country could plunge into a crisis in case of a failure to hold all three levels of elections within the next 11 months timeframe. Koirala was speaking at a gathering of NC Dang cadres of Constituency-4 in Dang.

NC should bring on board main opposition CPN-UML and Madhes-based political parties, he said, adding that for that the biggest party in Parliament should take the lead.
Referring to the leading role of NC in every past movement for change, the NC leader stressed the need for all to embrace and follow contributions of the late NC leaders Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and Girija Prasad Koirala.
He also said NC should take initiatives to safeguard republic. RSS
